Dr Edward Shaoul FRCGP
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dr Edward Shaoul on Thursday 6th March.
Dr Edward, as he was known to us all, served the community of Brook Green for over 45 years as a General Practitioner and was greatly loved by his patients and respected by his colleagues.
He was an inspirational teacher and senior educator in the west of London.
He worked for many years as a Dean in the London Deanery, leading on GP education and also in the Imperial College Medical School. He will be greatly missed.
We send our wishes for his wife Doreen and his four children to find strength at this difficult time. If you would like to pass on a message of condolence please offer this to reception and we will collect them to pass on to his family. Alternatively you may email Doreen directly at email@example.com.
NHS Care.data scheme
Every household in England should have received a leaflet from NHS England entitled "Better information means better care"
The leaflet gives information about the benefits of sharing your medical data held by your GP.
If you are happy to share information you need do nothing. If you are not happy you may opt out. To do this please print and complete our OPT OUT FORM. We do need a signed copy so please bring it to the surgery or post it to us.
Please read the NHS leaflet thoroughly before making your decision.

Minor Surgery - Did you know?
We can remove moles, skin tags and some lumps and bumps. If your doctor decides that your minor surgery can be done here, you will be asked to make an appointment. Please be sure to tell the receptionist the treatment you require.
Whether you are already a patient or looking for a new doctor in the Hammersmith, West Kensington, Shepherd's Bush or North Fulham area we hope you will find the information on this website useful. We aim to offer everyone in our care a high quality service and hope that this website helps you to get the best from the practice. We are predominantly an NHS Practice, but we offer private GP medical services to those who wish to register as private patients.
This practice is a GP partnership. We have 10 permanent doctors at the moment (six female and four male) and two female nurses. Additionally, as we are a training practice we may have up to three GP Registrars with us at any given time. David Wingfield, Anna Wilson, James Cavanagh and Kirsten Macphee are accredited GP trainers.
We are a family practice committed to providing clinical excellence and good service to all our patients. Our purpose-built surgery has access and facilities for disabled patients. We work as a team with District Nurses, Health Visitors, Midwives, Psychiatric Nurses, Physiotherapists, Dietitians and Drug & Alcohol Link Workers. We work closely with Imperial College in teaching undegraduate medical students and collaborate with them in research projects. We provide GP services to Emmaus House, Acton, a drop-in centre for the homeless and to St Vincent's Care Home in Hammersmith.
Any person who lives within our catchment area may register with us. Please bring proof of identity and proof of address with you when you come to register.
Our practice is within the Hammersmith and Fulham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). http://www.hammersmithfulhamccg.nhs.uk/
Same Day Appointments - Urgent Care weekdays
All patients can talk to a GP over the telephone on the same day that they request an "urgent" consultation. Between 09:00 and 12:00 and between 14:00 and 17:00, telephone requests are logged and a doctor returns these calls, in turn, in our urgent care service. The doctor will ask you to come to the surgery if necessary. YOU CAN ALWAYS HAVE AN ON-THE-DAY APPOINTMENT IF YOU NEED URGENT CARE ON A WEEKDAY. Saturday surgeries are for booked appointments only. Go to Appointments for full details of our ON CALL APPOINTMENT SYSTEM.
Booking Appointments Ahead
Normally, you will be able to book an appointment up to one month ahead with any GP or nurse. Please book appointments for pill checks and smears with a nurse and not with a doctor.
