Control what your NHS data is used for

The data in your medical record held by your GP surgery is used for providing clinical care to you.

Separately from this, the NHS nationally uses aggregated data from GP medical records for service planning and clinical research. This has a benefit to the public overall and GP surgeries have no control over the process. You can find out more about this here: https://www.nhs.uk/your-nhs-data-matters/overview/

If you do not want aggregated data from your medical record to be used for service planning and clinical research, you can opt out by clicking on the link and following the instructions.
